Please note that information about some of these changes may be limited at present and also subject to further change. Although some will happen quickly, others may be introduced gradually over several years.

End of 2024

DWP intends to have moved all recipients of legacy benefits to Universal Credit. People who move to Universal Credit through managed migration will get some transitional protection, but this is not available for people who choose for themselves to claim Universal Credit.
