How do I apply for a Scottish Child Bridging Payment?

If you are already getting free school meals, you will get Scottish Child Bridging Payments without needing to apply. If your child is in primary 1-5, you might be getting free school meals through universal free school meal provision. If this applies to you, you need to make a separate claim for free school meals under the low income scheme to get Scottish Child Bridging Payments.

If you are not already getting free school meals, you will need to apply for free school meals. Contact your local council to make a claim.
