For over 50 years, iprovision has been there to support PR professionals and their families who experience hard times due to illness, disability, unemployment or bereavement.
Who does iprovision help?
iprovision welcomes applications from:
- Current members and staff of the CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) and their dependents
- Former members and staff of the CIPR and their dependents.
Our support worker will work with you in confidence to understand your circumstances.
Applicants for financial support must be receiving, or in the process of applying for, all the state benefit support they may be eligible for.

When does iprovision help?
iprovision can offer confidential guidance and support when things get difficult for you and your family for any number of reasons, including - but not limited to:
These circumstances may lead to difficulties meeting everyday costs or accessing the right support. In time, this can have a severe impact on quality of life.
What does iprovision offer?
If you are experiencing financial difficulties because of an unexpected need or life-changing circumstance, iprovision can offer grants to help you meet the costs.
This could include:

Everyday living: support with travel, car repairs or clothing (e.g. for school uniforms or job interviews)

Health: hospital parking, respite care, or care breaks

Home essentials: replacing everyday items or white goods, small home repairs and mobility adaptations

Financial support: to help with unexpected or large bills, such as funeral costs or moving fees
Wider support
In all circumstances, iprovision considers wider support to help applicants in the longer term. This could include:
- Financial support for careers coaching to help with job prospects
- Supporting professionals to stay in touch with their professional body and networks (e.g. an abatement of CIPR membership fees)
- Signposting to money and debt advisory
- Help to access local and national services.

“On my 64th birthday, I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Our house needed essential adaptations and work but I was too ill to do it and had no funds to pay someone else.
“It was at this point iprovision stepped in. I had proudly been a member of CIPR for many years and when iprovision heard about my situation, they quickly offered a helping hand. They gave us a welfare grant to help make our bathroom safe and accessible.
“This morning I took my first bath in nearly two years, using the bath chair to lower myself into the warm water. I cannot explain how good that felt but it would not have happened without iprovision.”
