Turn2us helps people in financial need gain access to welfare benefits, charitable grants and other financial help – online, by phone and face to face through our partner organisations.

Mixed-age Couples

A mixed age couple is a couple where one partner is under pension age and the other is over pension age. It does not matter if you are married or not.

Some mixed-age couples are not able to claim Pension Credit or Housing Benefit and so need to claim Universal Credit.
